Review of L’Auberge de Sedona, Sedona, USA

UPDATE: the resort completed a massive expansion and renovation in 2025 (integrating the former Orchards Inn to create The Cliffs – 70 new rooms – , refreshing the existing cottages, expanding the spa/pools & upgrading restaurant terrace)

Splendid setting, beautiful Vista Suites & friendly staff:

The location of L’Auberge de Sedona along a lovely creek is quite stunning. Then it is also well situated for exploring Sedona, at least its commercial district. Since there were the three of us (family with a teenager), we opted for one of the newly built Vista Suites. And we were not disappointed!

Although there is no unobstructed view of the creek from here (you only see trees), these rooms are a good choice. Our accommodation had two generously sized rooms with modern furnishings. There was a spacious and trendy bathroom with two showers (an indoor and an outdoor one). Plus, it featured a terrace overlooking the resort. When it came to the spa, we did not use it, so we cannot comment on it.

We had breakfast at the resort and were satisfied with the offered. It was nice having a seat at the banks of the creak, enjoying delicious meals. We had considered dining at the restaurant on site too but decided against it. This because we felt that the prices were outrageously high. The employees usually were friendly and eager to please. This was especially true for the valets and the bell-staff.

In conclusion, we were content with our stay there and would return in a beat.

Date of stay: July 2011
