Review of George Washington Inn, Port Angeles WA, USA

UPDATE: reopened in June 2026 after a comprehensive two-year renovation (still under owners Janet and Dan)

Comfortable B&B in nice surroundings:

Our family of three chose this lovely situated B&B George Washington Inn for our two days’ stay destined for hiking in the Olympic National Park.

The inn is located between Port Angeles and Sequim. It offers splendid views of the Strait of Juan de Fuca on the one side and of a lavender farm

as well as of the Olympic Mountains on the other.

The name of this Bed and Breakfast has not been given by chance. That is to say that the house and its situation is a replica of the original George Washington’s Mount Vernon!

There are five suites in this inn. We had the Martha’s Suite. It is on the main floor and provides bedding for a third person. The room offers enough space for three persons and is well-equipped. Furthermore, it has a spacious bathroom with a bathtub and a separate shower. The hosts – Janet and Dan – are accommodating and make sure that you feel at ease. The three-course breakfast served on the back-porch with nice view of the sea is delicious.

If you are looking for a comfortable accommodation when visiting the Olympic National Park, this is your choice!

Date of stay: July 2013
