We (family of three adults) spent one night at the Cannery Pier Hotel & SPA. It is a beautifully located lodging built right on the pier with fantastic views of the Columbia River.



As luxurious accommodations are not easily found on the Oregon Coast, we were happy to find this hotel in Astoria. It offered not only a really nice setting but also comfortable enough rooms.

We went for a one-bedroom suite and had one on the ground level literally over the water, a special experience. The suite is spacious and well-appointed although not exactly “de luxe”. Having said that we had a good time here. We enjoyed the wine and cheese reception in the evening, the cookies and the decent continental breakfast in the morning. The employees were friendly and knowledgeable when it came to the area’s attractions.

From the hotel you can walk along the riverfront to Astoria’s historic town center.

If you want, you can have a ride back in the nicely refurbished trolley.

When traveling along the Oregon Coast, make a stop in this lovely town and take advantage of the favorably situated Cannery Pier Hotel!
