Review of Pier Hotel and SPA, Astoria OR, USA

We (family of three adults) spent one night in this beautifully located hotel built right on the pier with fantastic views of the Columbia River.



As luxurious accommodations are not easily found on the Oregon Coast, we were happy to find a hotel in Astoria offering not only a really nice setting but also comfortable enough rooms.

We went for a one-bedroom suite and were accommodated on the ground level literally over the water, a special experience. The suite is spacious and well-appointed although not exactly “de luxe”. Having said that we had a good time in the hotel. We enjoyed the wine and cheese reception in the evening, the cookies and the decent continental breakfast in the morning. The employees were friendly and knowledgeable as far as the area’s attractions are concerned.

From the hotel you can walk along the riverfront to Astoria’s historic town centre,

if you want you can have a ride back in the nicely refurbished trolley.

When traveling along the Oregon Coast make a stop in this lovely town and take advantage of the favorable situated Cannery Pier Hotel!
