Review of Hotel Renaissance Paris Vendôme, Paris

Favorable location, nice accommodation:

Our family stayed a few days at this hotel around new year’s eve and had a great time here. It is situated in a rather quiet street in the Place Vendôme neighborhood,

which is a perfect location for exploring all the important sights in Paris.

We had a junior suite with two small rooms for our family (tho adults and a teen). The tiny (separate) living room had a sofa bed and a second flat screen tv. The rooms were tastefully decorated (cool, modern) and everything was well maintained and perfectly clean. The bathroom had a tub, a shower, a separate toilet and – the only disadvantage – only one sink. Altogether a very nice accommodation with just enough space for the three of us!

The (not included in the rate) breakfast was in the fancy restaurant Pinxo. There was a buffet with all the usual breakfast items (eggs to be ordered with additional costs). We also had dinner at this stylish spot and this was the new year’s eve dinner. Food was very good (13 points Gault Millau) and reasonably priced, service was kind and professional. We also visited the tiny bar where a glass of champagne was offered on new year’s eve by the management.

Staff was always very nice and helpful. We would return to this hotel in a heartbeat. Of course, Renaissance Paris Vendôme ist not as luxurious as Hotel Meurice next door (where we stayed five years ago), but it offers a good experience at a fair price, also for demanding guests.
