Review of Rosewood Hotel Georgia, Vancouver
Up to date historical hotel in perfect location:
My husband, our adult son and opted for the Rosewood for our three days’ stay in Vancouver. The hotel lived fully up to our expectations!
The centrally located historical hotel underwent a comprehensive renovation (finished in 2011) that can be considered as very successful.
You are aware of its heritage but at the same time the design is very much up to date. Whereas the entrance hall is maintained very classy the rooms are contemporarily furnished. We had booked a junior suite but were upgraded to an executive suite, a nice surprise! The one-bedroom suite is spacious, luxuriously equipped and has two bathrooms.
The Rosewood has all the facilities you would except from a hotel of this class (different restaurants, spa, fitness room pool). We had dinner at the Hawksworth Restaurant (fine dining) and were satisfied with the offered. The casual Bel Café is good for a fast breakfast, the bakery goods are delicious. A nice asset is the outdoor bar Reflections on the courtyard of the fourth floor. While the setting is lovely, business is thriving on a warm summer evening and the service is sometimes spotty. Otherwise service was good, we don’t have any complaints. When being in Vancouver again, we would stay at this wonderful hotel again!
Date of stay: July 2013
