Review of Hotel Castel, Tirolo, South Tyrol, Italy

My husband, our teen and myself really enjoyed our stay at the Castel! This is indeed a well managed hotel, all the employees are eager to please you. The rooms are very nice and the best is the wonderful food! Also the setting of the hotel is breathtaking.



You have a beautiful view of the adjacent vineyards and of Merano (Meran) that is situated far below. And this from the generous laid out terrace and also from all (!) the rooms.

We had an „Edelweiss Suite A“ for the three of us with a large bedroom and a likewise sitting room. Also the bathroom and the balcony were very spacious.



Breakfast was good, with a rich variety of goods. Dinner was always a highlight! We were on half board. And it was probably the best one we ever had. Every dish was a culinary delight and I have to point out that our family is very demanding as to fine dining. Once during our stay, there was also an aperitif where you got fancy drinks and food.

In short, we liked it very much there and we intend to spend a few days at the Castel soon!
