Review of Radisson Blu Hotel, Zurich Airport, Switzerland

UPDATE: lobby and rooms where extensively renovated in 2023/2024, the Angels’ Wine Tower Grill does not exist anymore; the bathroom issue was solved during the renovation

Convenient, well-appointed and good (pricey) grill restaurant:

Radisson Blu Hotel Zurich Airport is just perfect in case you have to catch an early flight as we (family with one teen) had to do. It is directly linked to the terminal so it is very convenient for airline passengers.

The wine tower located in the hotel lobby where dance performances take place is quite impressive and certainly an eye-catcher.

We had a standard room which was generously sized and accommodated three persons without problems. It was contemporarily furnished and had a rather spacious bathroom. Pity that the latter left much to be desired. The shower was not sufficiently separated from the bathroom. So, there was a risk of flooding in the bathroom. Employees at the reception were courteous and helpful.

We did not have any breakfast but free coffee, tea, water and cereals bars were on offer. However, we had dinner at the Angels’ Wine Tower Grill, which was very good although rather pricey. Nonetheless, we enjoyed the evening at this restaurant. In case you should dine here, the sauces to the steaks were delicious and worthwhile ordering (side order).

All in all, the Radisson Blu Hotel can be recommended as a stopover hotel at Zurich Airport.

Date of stay: April 2012
