For our stay in Napa Valley we chose Yountville. This because the small town is not only charming but offers a lot of high-end restaurants too. In terms of hotel we went for the North Block Hotel, located at one end of this town. From here many things are in walking distance. And seemingly everything is pricey, including our lodging.

As a family of three, we decided to stay at the most spacious room, the Premier King Fireplace. Whereas the nicely appointed room was not overly large, the bathroom was so. You find here an oversized soaking tub, an additional shower, a separate toilet, double sinks and lots of empty space. As an extra, there was a large private patio which was nice for a drink or so. All the rooms – I think there are twenty of them – are situated around a courtyard.

The grounds were nice to look at, with lots of greenery, a well and nice spots. Everything is clean, chic and well-maintained. Our family felt very comfortable at North Block. Service was great and very friendly. We got a glass of Prosecco or wine upon arrival. Then we were treated to a coupon for a complimentary wine tasting at a nearby winery, which we appreciated.
